I am a graduate of the deparmtent of Journalism and mass Communication university of Peshawar. Presently,I am working with Daily Times, a Pakistani national Newspaper,as a reporter. I am also a freelance writer. I have written articles for Himal Magazine etc.My Area of interst is conflict reporting.
I see journalism as a potent force for enabling an open society and that motivates me. I have worked in some of Nigeria's leading news magazines at different times since 1992. I was reporter and editor at BUSINESS, TELL and INSIDER magazines. I am now editor-in-chief at NEWSTRACK, a new publication.
I am author of the book "Path Dependency and the International Conferences on Afghanistan: from Bonn 2001 to Bonn 2011". I have my own website "The True Pen" where I write my opinion articles on extremism, Talibanism, corruption and democracy in Central Asian states, Afghanistan and Middle East.
